Edie Cherry was educated at Rice University. After working with the Houston firm of Caudill Rowlett Scott (CRS) for seven years, she moved to Albuquerque to teach architecture at the University of New Mexico. In 1977, she and Jim See started the firm of Cherry/See Architects, now Cherry/See/Reames Architects, PC. While teaching, Edie authored “Programming for Design” - published by Wiley and Sons, and several programming articles. Edie continued to teach until 2000, then joined the firm full time until 2014. She has essentially retired from daily participation in the firm but remains available for special project consulting.
