Tony Hillerman (Wyoming) Library Renovation

Date of Completion: 2007

Building Area:
14,583 gross square feet

Contractor:
Longhorn Construction Services, Inc.

This project was completed on a very tight budget.  The objective at Wyoming was to improve the public areas and give the place a face lift.  One of the improvements made was to re-work the entry to the Children’s Area.  The prior condition included a “head knocking” roll-down fire door that existed to meet the fire separation requirements of the building.  This door was replaced with panel doors and neon glass art work that concealed the new fire wall.  Adult toilets were rebuilt to meet ADA codes.  New Circulation and Information Desks were added.  A new shade structure was added to the Children’s Courtyard.
